Outline
- Training takes place at the airfield or chosen flying site of the day.
- Further training includes slope launch, “U” and “S” landing approaches.
- Take off and land safely at intermediate sites.
- Attend a total of two safety clinics from Air Vision Adventures.
- The student should fly with his/her own paragliding equipment that is approved by our instructor.
- Rental equipment is available for students taking this course.
- Total training time includes 2 flyable* days at the chosen flying sites and 4 days at the airfield.
- Additional training days are available for purchase. Please discuss with your instructor for more details if required.
Your Training Roadmap to a Higher Level
- Be at least 18 years of age or have the signature of a parent or guardian.
- Have signed an Air Vision Adventures School training waiver form.
- Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language.
- Be of reasonably good health that will allow moderate physical activity and allow the wearing of a helmet and paragliding harness.
- Keep a log book of your flying/training activities.
- Completed the P1 Ground School + Flight Training course.
- Completed the written HPAC Beginner test.
- Completed the required HPAC Beginner practical “witnessed tasks” through P1 Ground School + Flight Training
- Be registered as an HPAC member (Beginner rating).
- Complete the Novice Ground School Course
- Complete the HPAC written Novice test.
- Complete the HPAC Novice practical “witnessed tasks”.
Fee and discount
- Course fee: $2,100 plus taxes (single pilot). Register two or more pilots together and each pays $1,850 — a $250 discount per person.
- This course will be half-price ($1000.00) with the purchase of your new harness, Wing, Reserve chute and Helmet package.
- Paragliding trip costs are not included in this course fee
- Equipment rental is $95.00 per day. No charge if your glider package is currently on order with Air Vision Adventures Ltd.
- * New “Pay As You Fly” option is $300.00 per day (No discount) (Novice Ground school must be completed prior to Pay as you Fly training)

- Flyable* – Our instructor approves the weather and wind condition at a paragliding site to be suitable for students to take off, glide and land safely.
- Students may reschedule for the next available training day should cancellation occur due to weather.
